Welcome to the International Staff Mobility Office at Munich University of Applied Sciences!

Thank you for your interest in our university. In the following sections we have provided a general overview of topics that will be important for planning your stay as a visiting researcher at our university.

We are happy to answer all of your organisational and administrative questions related to your stay in Munich. Additionally, please feel free to get in touch with us if you need assistance establishing professional contacts at Munich University of Applied Sciences.

To support you during your stay at MUAS, our International Staff Mobility Office is here to help you with organisational and administrative issues related to your studies in Germany and to support you in your everyday life. If necessary, we can also accompany you on visits to local administrative authorities.

Accommodation
Depending on the duration of your stay, there are different options for your accommodation.

The university owns two guest apartment buildings located on our main campus on Lothstraße (Loth Street) close to the city centre. If you plan to stay longer, we can also assist you in finding a suitable off-campus apartment.

Welcome services
Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome package with information about Munich and our university. At the beginning of every semester, MUAS also offers special welcome services and guided campus tours.

Support for families
If you plan to bring your family with you, there are many additional things to consider, such as childcare, schooling, visa regulations for family members, and career options for your partner or spouse. Our goal is to assist you as much as possible and to help you and your family get off to a good start in Germany.

German classes
Are you interested in learning German? There are many ways to get to know the language and culture better. We can help you find a course that suits your needs.

Cultural programme
The International Staff Mobility Office organises a cultural programme for international guests and their families and friends. You are welcome to join our regular informal get-togethers, trips to interesting sights in and around Munich, and various cultural events on campus.
